
General Range Rules

ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.

ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
​

ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
​

NO ONE is allowed forward of the firing line at any time, under any circumstances.
​

Shooters MUST wear eye and hearing protection prior to entering the range, and keep it on until they exit.
​

Only one person is allowed in the shooting booth at a time, a second person will need to remain at arm’s length away from the shooter during live fire.
​

NO Slugs and birdshot, personal protection ammo, explosive, or armor piercing ammunition is allowed to be shot in the range, a $5000 per round penalty will apply, and you will subject your own supplied ammunition for inspection prior to entering the range.

NO Draw/Shooting from the holster is permitted. To shoot from a holster please inquire about advanced training opportunities.

NO more than 2 guests are permitted in each lane with a pistol permit holder.

NO food, beverage, or smoking/vaping will be permitted in the range.

If you are pregnant, you agree that you have consulted with your physician regarding shooting activities, and lead exposure.
​

All firearms must be kept in a carry case, or holster until you are in your assigned shooting port. No firearms are to be carried from the range to the retail area or vice versa, a container will be provided for rental firearms. All firearms must be cleared, breach open, and properly cased when removed from the firing line.

No shooting at other shooters' targets.
​

Be sure you are using the correct ammo for your gun.
​

If you receive 2 warnings for safety violations, a third occurrence will be grounds for expulsion from Stratford Guns & Ammo.
​

There shall be no conflict with RSO Staff, they are there for your safety. Concerns should be brought to management.
​

During Ceasefire, DO NOT handle firearms, ammunition, magazines, or target carriers. You are required to stand at the back wall.
​

If you have a malfunction and need assistance, you may back up from your shooting port and ask the RSO for assistance. ​

If any malfunction occurs, and you cannot clear the chamber, leave the firearm on the shooting bench and ask a range office for help. If a cease-fire is called, unload your firearm with the cylinder open, slide locked back, and step behind the range line.
​

Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
​

Be courteous and aware of other shooters around you.
​

If you intend to do bodily harm to yourself or others, you are not permitted on the range.
​

No black powder firearms are allowed.
